Jacob Winter
Welcome!
I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of Toronto. My research focuses on how leaders spread their attention across policy problems. My dissertation project explores the impact of of external finance and electoral pressures on political speech and budget allocations in Zambia and Ghana.
At UofT, I’ve been affiliated with the Global Economic Policy Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and the International Centre for Tax and Development. Before starting my PhD, I worked in a variety of roles in nonprofits in Canada, Malawi, and Japan. For more, check out my CV.
